Description

Item under consideration is a fine, original, Victorian Era Antique, wicker & metal Baby Carriage with parasol and upholstered set manufactured by Sears Roebuck & Co, Chicago, Ill., U.S.A.. Listed in the 1901 issue of the Sears catalog.
A large full sized antique baby carriage in an 'all original parts and accessaries condition'. Fabrics Have been replaced, but original lace has been retained.
Carriage Body
- 55 1/2 inch long x 22 inch wide x 18 inch high, hand-made wicker carriage body.
Metal Apparatus
- All original metal support apparatus including 4 tall metal wheels, 20 inch(2) and 22 inch(2), leaf springs and brake.
Fabrics
-A position adjustable 30” diameter parasol and upholstery set (customized for carriage body). The material of the parasol and upholstery set has been replaced, but, original lace trim has been retained.
Manufacturer’s Plate
-Original Sears manufacturer’s plate attached to wicker body(see Photo #10).
