one vintage 1960's ~ The Beatles ~ 12" x 4" display drum shell in black oyster pearl finish.
Long description (and honest):  I bought a 1960's Rogers Dayton, OH era 8"x12" tom shell that was black strata pearl.  Most people know that those early wraps were used between different drum companies back then.  This wrap matches Ludwig's 1960's black oyster pearl exactly. Look at the pictures.
I cut the shell in half on my buddy's table saw and painted the inside white Resacote.  I used 6 Ludwig small classic lugs and their 12 Ludwig mounting screws.  That left 6 holes from the old larger lugs. I had some grommets that fit perfectly in those 6 holes and installed them.  They look great.
I bought a new Remo smooth white head, and removed the Remo logo with goof-off and added the black adhesive vinyl "The Beatles" logo and the correct "Ludwig" 60's script logo.
I used a Ludwig rim and 6 tension rods to complete the project.
Add this to your music room, man case, or she-shed!
Note: picture #4 shows that I plugged one 1/4" tom mount hole, then I painted it black.  When the drum is mounted on the wall it's at the 8 o'clock position, hardly seen because it blends in with the black oyster pearl wrap.  Wrap also has use marks and scratches on it from age.  Remember this shell is 60 years old.  But from 2 feet away this is awesome!
Some of you may have seen the two 22" bass drum sized Ludwig/The Beatles display drums I listed last year.  They both sold right away in the 0 to 0 range.
One cool thing about this one is it doesn't take up too much wall space.
