Canastota High School presents ‘Aladdin’ as fall play

Students of Canastota High School will perform “Aladdin” this fall.
The show is the classic story of Aladdin and his magic lamp.
Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and, with the aid of the Genie, wins the hand of the lovely Princess Balmyra.
But the evil Turkish magician gains control of the lamp and instructs the Genie to bring the princess to him in his palace.
Aladdin, with the help of Balmyra’s cat Tiger Lily, finds the magician and rescues the princess.
The show is being produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service Inc., Denver, Colo., and is directed by Stephanie Emmerich and Crystal Miller.

Performances will be 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16.
Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for students and senior citizens. They are available at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m. each night.
